At Nordgren Automotive, we aim to prevent you, your passengers, and your vehicle from being stuck on the side of the road. Unfortunately, our proactive approach to auto repair doesn’t eliminate your chances of ending up in a tight spot, and our team believes it always better to be safe than sorry. That’s why we want you to be ready for a roadside emergency. Here is a list of items you should keep in your vehicle at all times:
Fully Charged Cell Phone: Your car breaks down, you reach for your cell phone, and you realize your handy device is completely dead. Nobody wants this situation to happen. That’s why it’s important to make sure your mobile device is fully charged before you hit the road, especially if you head out on a road trip.
First-Aid Kit: This item seems like a no-brainer, but make sure your first-aid kit includes gauze pads and bandage tape, aspirins, antiseptic wipes, scissors, antiseptic cream or ointment, Band-Aids, rubbing alcohol, and burn cream.
Warning Triangles or Flares: If you are stuck on the side of the road, you will want others to be able to see you, and flare and warning triangles can help with that.
Blankets and Extra Clothes: Winter isn’t over yet, and the last thing we would want is for you to feel frozen waiting for your tow truck to show up.
Flashlight: The use of a flashlight is almost self-explanatory, but make sure you pack one in your trunk.
Non Perishable snacks: Try finding protein-rich snacks, as they will keep you satisfied longer.
With preventative maintenance, we hope to eliminate any unexpected breakdowns, and we will try our best to secure the safety of your vehicle. In the case something does happen, our team at Nordgren Automotive wants you to be prepared for any roadside emergency. While you put together your emergency kit, our auto technicians can ensure your car is running in tip-top shape. To schedule an appointment at Nordgren Automotive, call us at (763) 703-1365.
